Select a dataset of your choice, clean the data, and create/evaluate a model to solve a problem. Choose a topic that genuinely interests you!
The challenge runs from 10/1 to 10/24, with submissions due by 11:59 PM on the 24th. All submissions must be made through GitHub.
There are three levels, each building on the previous one. Don't let this challenge intimidate you! It is intended to expose you to foundational data science principles, get you familiar with our coding environment, and challenge you to be creative and resourceful as you explore the applications of data science in any field that you are passionate about.
Along with the coding challenge, you are to submit a short write-up about your solution. All of your work in this section (including the write-up) must be submitted through GitHub. Check out the coding challenge repository for more info!
After completing the coding challenge, please fill out the general application form, where you will be able to share more about yourself and what makes you a good fit for VDS. In this form, you will also submit a link to your GitHub repository with your coding challenge submissions and write-up.
